Who would keep a katana set for self defense? It'll do absolutely nothing against a thief with a handgun. Well, the guy might start laughing at the notion of someone actually using a weapon outdated centuries ago as a serious means of self defense.
In the state of New Jersey, it is practically illegal to have a hand gun or a firearm unless one happens to take a lifetime Firearms Purchaser card for rifles, shotguns or handguns. And to purchas a hand gun, a separate permit has to be issued by the local police department for each handgun and is expired after 90s days. They require in-depth application questioning, multiple references and background checks via the State Bureau of Identification and
New Jersey State Police.
In short, acquiring any sort of gun as a means of home defense for myself and my family... sure as hell ain't happening any time soon. Not to mention the family doesn't actually like the idea of having firearms in the house out of concerns for safety and the accessability.
So I make do with what I have. But considering where I live, someone approaching my door step ain't happening anytime soon.
Not like I fucking live in Detroit or Compton.
