BOOOOOM!!
The powerful boom of the incoming storm shook the colorful 1960's styled van. Inside, the group of crime solving teens looked at one another nervously. On the dashboard, the gas gauge had been nearing empty for the last ten minutes. No house was in sight. The thought of spending the night inside the van was looming on all their minds.
"Fred, maybe we should just stop by the road somewhere...", Daphne said.
"I don't know. We're really close to Gotham. Maybe, just maybe, we can make it to a house." replied Fred. His usual confident tone had been replaced by desperation. Daphne sighed, while Shaggy and Velma exchanged looks. Scooby, their faithful canine, whimpered underneath a blanket. Suddenly, the sky was split open by a dazzling lightning strike, illuminating the general area.
"Look! A mansion! What luck." Fred shouted out.
"Man, that's like a really spooky looking mansion Fred. Maybe we should keep going." Shaggy commented.
"In this weather? With this gas? I'm surprised we're still going. Come on gang. This isn't the first spooky mansion we've seen."
-------------------------
"Alfred! Where are you?!"
Batman staggered out of the batmobile and looked around. Alfred was usually here, waiting for him, usually with bandages or a nice cup of tea. Where was he now?
"Robin, stay here. I'll find the serum." Batman stated. Robin looked up and smiled. "Yeah Sofia Vergara, I would love some ice cream..."
Batman ignored the drugged kid and lumbered forward. "Alfred... Ivy and Joker were plotting on using some sort of new mind altering gas on the city tonight. I was able to stop them, but Robin and I may have gotten too much exposure. Where is my detoxifying serum??" Batman announced. "ALFRED?!" Batman wandered up the batcave's spiraling staircase, nearly falling over several times. The gas was traveling through his entire body, and even the trained mind of Batman couldn't fight its intoxicating effects.
"Haha! Please, stop!"
Batman's head jerked into attention. Alfred's voice. It sounded amuse, but who was he talking to? Had the Joker followed him? Was the gas making him imagine things? Either way, he had to take action. Alfred was his oldest confidant and more importantly, a friend. He had to save him.
"GET AWAY FROM HIM JOKER!", Batman shouted out, as he kicked open the door and burst into the rarely used parlor. His guard up, Batman was completely unprepared for the four teenagers and their dog.
"Like, zoinks! What is that???" Shaggy shouted out. The entire gang whirled around, focused on Bruce. Batman looked from one teenager to the next, finally landing his sight on Alfred's horror stricken face. Even in his drugged out mental state, Batman realized he'd messed up. Alfred, thinking quickly, stood up.
"Gahhhhh! What are these people doing in my house?!! Alfred, I'm on a crap ton of drugs right now, I don't need this!" Batman shouted, immediately regretting it. Turning around quickly, he slammed the door shut and stumbled towards the stairs, knocking down a few priceless decorations in his way.
"Ah! I told you Fred, this mansion was like, totally giving off all the ghost signs. Let's get out of here!" Shaggy shouted out.
"That's no ghost. It's obviously a man in a costume!" Fred cried out. Alfred looked at him in terror. "He's obviously after Mr. Wayne's fortune." Fred continued.
"Of course." Velma reaffirmed, taking the moment to clean her glasses.
"No, no!" Alfred quickly protested. "Ugh... That's just... Our usual ghost. He's harmless."
The gang stood up. Daphne rushed to Alfred's side. "Oh, don't worry Alfred. You've been so kind to us, specially with letting us stay here while the storm's outside, and giving us gas. We'll solve this mystery. Don't you worry."
"And like, that food was super delicious Alfred." Shaggy added. Scooby grinned behind him, nodding his head.
"Yeah, don't worry Alfred. Solving mysteries is what we do. We'll catch this "ghost" and expose him for the criminal he is." Fred said. "Let's split up. Daphne and I will chase after him upstairs, Velma, Shaggy, and Scoobs can stay down here in case he comes back down. Let's get this guy!"
"Yeah!", the gang shouted enthusiastically. Alfred, now being hugged by both Velma and Daphne, gave a weak smile.
-------------------------
So, does Scooby Doo and the gang catch Batman in his own mansion?
Batman is in a drugged out state and doesn't want to hurt the kids. Robin will regain consciousness in an hour and wander upstairs. Batman and Robin win if either eludes capture for the whole night.
The Gang wins if they catch Batman AND Robin.

Good setup Marvel Man and a classic Scooby Doo way to do it. Hard choice as Batman's manision as alot of security programs, protocals, and more. The gang may be able to capture Robin but I don't know about Batman. Batman in a drugged state or beaten badly has still defeated his villains and goons.
The Gang could pull one of there stupid Scooby Doo traps and moves that may catch Batman only because those type of funny traps aren't something Batman is use to. Thats why Joker with some of his similar traps does catch Batman sometimes.
The Scooby Gang could pull it off if they plan it right.

Anyways, thanks for the comment. I haven't written a match in such a good time.
MARVANOTE: Baller, when can I expect to see you writing a match? I've been out of the loop, so I really regret missing any matches from the old regulars.

Another unique concept here. waging the Scooby Gang's near-toon force level problem-solving ability against the Dark Knight himself. Batman may be heavily sedated, and Mystery, Inc. may always get their man, but I still can't quite see them nabbing Bats. Robin, maybe, but not Bats.
Besides, the two sides should recognize each other from a couple of shared adventures together:

Waitaminute, MM, weren't you a judge in last month's challenge? You would've caught baller's entry.
