BATMAN/GARGOYLES CROSSOVER BONUS



After Xanatos left his office, he was intercepted by his wife.

“David, before you go fly off to play chess with Bruce I need to tell you something,” said Fox.

“Yes?”

“I’m coming with you.”

“Excuse me?”

“As fabulous as the domesticated life has been, I miss action in my life,” explained Fox.

“Well I’m sorry to disappoint you darling, but you won’t find the action you seek at a chess game,” said Xanatos.

“Bruce is a big time hero, is he not? He must know some exceptional martial artists,” Fox reasoned.

A sly smile appeared on the face of Xanatos. “I think he may know one or two.”

Fox took the hands of Xanatos. “When you met me you said I was one of the finest martial artists you had ever seen..”

“Without a doubt,” said Xanatos.

“I have worked hard since the birth of Alexander, and I now think I am in the best shape of my life. But, I want to know how I stack up,” said Fox.

Xanatos kissed Fox on the forehead. “I would never deny you a chance to show off your moves.”

David and Fox Xanatos traveled together to Wayne Manor in Gotham City. Alfred greeted them at the door.

“Miss Fox, what a pleasant surprise. What brings you here today?”

“Nice to see you, Alfred,” replied Fox. “I’m just here to support my husband and hopefully find a good sparring partner.”

“You’re late,” Bruce called from the chess table.

“Ah, one of the side effects of marriage, Bruce,” said Xanatos. “You will discover that for yourself one day when you find the right woman.”

“You know my work doesn’t allow for such things.”

“Speaking of your work, Bruce, I was wondering if you could suggest any good sparring partners,” said Fox.

Bruce looked at Fox. “Looking to get physical again? Can’t say that I’m surprised. You never did strike me as the house wife type. You know, I think I’ve got just the person.” Bruce turned his attention to his butler. “Alfred, can you go retrieve Miss Bordeaux for us?”

“Miss Bordeaux?” repeated Xanatos.

“Sasha Bordeaux. A skilled martial artist who was once hired by Lucius Fox to be my bodyguard. Given recent events, we brought her back to help with things until we can get everything back to normal.” Bruce paused for a moment. “Well at least normal for Gotham.”

Alfred re-entered the room followed by Sasha.

“I hear there is someone here looking to go a few rounds,” said Sasha.

“That would be me,” answered Fox.

“Then follow me.”

The two ladies exited the room. Xanatos began to follow.

“Where are you going?” asked Bruce.

“Do you not want to see them square off?” replied Xanatos.

“It is a very enticing option, but I have waited for this match for awhile. We have much to discuss, David.”

“Of course.”

Xanatos took his seat across from Bruce as the women began their sparring.



(NOTE: Although it probably doesn’t make sense timeline wise, in the interest of fairness, this is the human version of Sasha Bordeaux not the OMAC cyborg.)

The CBUB debut of Fox Xanatos, eh? She may have a tough spar on her hands here. Fox seems to do well in hand-to-hand, but she might have been too busy between raising her son and having adventures of her own to best a maybe-younger and more rigorously-trained Sasha.
