Magneto's experiences surviving war in Germany eventually shaped his outlook on the situation that mutants face in the Marvel U. Determined to keep such atrocities from ever being committed against mutantkind, he is willing to use deadly force to protect mutants. He would believe that mutants will become the dominant life form on the planet and would set about either creating a homeland on Earth where mutants could live peacefully, or conquering and enslaving humanity in the name of mutantkind. His first act of evil will be to destroy the Whitehouse. While trying to recruit mutants for his brotherhood an unexpected guest shows up to demand he join the brotherhood for a reasonable cost. Magneto declines his offer because Lobo is not of a mutant background therefore, not being able to understand the true hatred mutants have for mankind. Lobo grew angry at Magneto and eventually talks Magneto into letting him join. Lobo also explains to Magneto that he does indeed share the same hatred towards humanity as same as the mutants do, and has proven to be one of the greatest assassins in the entire multiverse. Magneto and Lobo set out on their first master plan to demolish the Whitehouse and it's officials. Immediately while in the mist of the attack two formidable heroes show up to put and end to the chaos. The JLA and Avengers have once again combined to stop the forces of evil. Thor and Captain Marvel are now teamed as one against the sadistic minds of Magneto and Lobo. Can the heroes stop the villains from killing the president and the whitehouses other officials?

Thor is more then capable of smacking around Lobo for the win. Captain Marvel is faster and powerful enough to take out Magneto before Magneto can do any real damage. Short setup but it was alright with a very simple reason as to why they are fighting. I'll give you a C for the setup to be fair.

But Lobo can be knocked out for good and more which is why Superman always beats him.

Why does everybody mix up the concept that just because somebody can't be 'killed' they are unbeatable? Unless 'killing' Lobo is the objective, he can catch a butt whoopin' anytime he faces somebody capable of it. Thor and Captain Marvel can write a butt whoopin' check on Lobo anytime. And either one of them can beat Magneto, too. I vote for team 1.
