Spike, from the tv show Buffy The Vampire Slayer

vs

Jack Sparrow, from the Pirates of the Caribbean films

This takes place at the beginning of The Curse of the Black Pearl. Spike has been transported to the 18th century Caribbean, and the only way for him to get back to his own time is to kill Jack Sparrow. Jack Sparrow has just arrived in Tortuga, and is aware that he is being pursued by someone, but he doesn't know exactly who.

Spike must kill Jack and Jack must survive, any way they can.

Opinions?

Jack has no superpowers and no idea how to kill a vampire. Spike EATS HIS FACE!

If it was a straight up, one-on-one fight, then obviously Spike wins, but it's not.

Spike is in a place and time he has never been to, he has no idea where Jack is, and Jack has dealt with enemies far more powerful, both literally and politically, than him by outsmarting them before. Although, i did forget to state where Spike starts off, which is Port Royal. So, Spike must find Jack, and, if he does so successfully, kill him, but Jack is very cunning and knows the place and time far better than Spike, so it wont be easy at all.

Actually, Spike is himself from the 1800's which means that he's somewhat familiar with the time period.

He may himself be from a time slightly after where he's been deposited, so while there might be a bit of disorientation, he wouldn't be nearly as debilitated as you make it sound like.

Finally we get to the part where most of the weapons that Jack uses are completely useless against Spike, the only weapon that might be useful, is the sword, and Jack generally uses it to run through people, rather than slice their heads off, and if he does that, he'll just piss Spike off, and be within arms reach, not a healthy place to be.

It is possible that Jack could get on a ship and escape from Tortuga, and that way 'win' the match, however if he faces Spike in combat, he loses.

If there one thing that we can learn from the movies, is that reality will bend itself so that Jack Sparrow always wins.

When it comes to winning against all odds, Jack Sparrow is better than Black Adam, Superboy Prime, the Predators, Red Hulk, Gladstone Glander, Indiana Jones AND Alice from "Resident Evil" movies combined.

No matter how badly the odds seem, Jack Sparrow will still win somehow.

'Preciate the opinions, thanks guys.

Spike is in the Caribbean, in the world of the Pirates films, that is more than enough to throw him off for a while, and even once he's adjusted, and if he does manage to get to Jack, even then, it's not impossible for Jack to escape.

Although, obviously, in close combat, Jack is screwed.
