on day before the Gundam fighting championship
Domon was practicing against Zakus outside of the arena.
the Zakus were destroyed with ease.
Amuro: wow Domon, that's some good fighting!
but i think i can do better than that.
Domon: oh yeah!
then Amuro and Domon begin to fight

meanwhile aboard Char's Musai
Char:
hmm.
the Gundam Fighters championship is tomorrow,
i should sign up.
Ramba: sir, you are too late to sign up.
the registration ended yesterday.
Char: who cares i am going anyway.
and so the next day Char takes off in his Zaku and heads for the arena where the tournament is taking place.

the first round is
Amuro vs Domon


the first begins.
Amuro swings at Domon and misses.
Domon then counters with a punch knocks Amuro over.
Amuro gets back and is about to fire his beam rifle at Domon,
but then Char attacks and knocks Amuro out of the way.
Domon: what are doing here?
you never signed up!
Char: i forgot okay.
Domon: no excuses!
interrupting a fight is against the rules.
you must pay for that!
Char: if you want to me pay,
you must kill me first.
Domon: fine!
you got your wish!
Char: are you threatening me?
Domon" yes.
Char: that's it!

Char charges at Domon and the fight is on

INdeed!!!! Also I suppose I should make an actual reason. Domon's gundams use his actual body movements. Meaning he's a hell of a lot more versatile in combat.

How does that give him the win? There are plenty of other AU pilots able to keep up with Newtypes in equal machines let alone a massively superior one
Gundam G Fighter is probably the second strongest Gundamverse anyway no matter how skilled Char is or how Haxx Newtype precog may be he has nothing on it.

A Newtype is a Human who live or are born in space so they evolved and developed mental powers ranging from basic precog,mind destruction,talking to the dead,hightened spacial awarness ect.
They make for some of the best pilots in the whole damn meta series (Char,Amuro,Judah) since really only the Wing Pilots,G Fighters and some 00 characters can compete but UC mechs tend to be inferior to most AU ones excluding Seed.
