Previously, an investigation into Wakandan despot, Erik Killmonger lead Jack Bauer to his connection with the US Government, namely, the Cancer Man. Knowing that Bauer was onto him, The Cancer Man hired the A-Team to keep him at bay. Jack proved a persistent adversary but he was nevertheless, no match for the A-Team. Outsmarted by Hannibal multiple times and finally decked by B.A. Barracus, Jack was left knocked out on a warehouse floor.

Waking up with a start, Jack looked at the man standing over him.

“You alright, buddy?” the man wore a black leather jacket.

“Who are you?” Jack wanted to know.

“I’m Michael Knight.”

“What are you doing here?”

“Considering you’re the one laid out on the floor, I should be asking you the questions.” Knight retorted.

“I’m Jack Bauer, an agent for the government.”

“Secret agent according to our files.” Knight amended his answer. Jack looked at him curiously. Knight continued. “I know who you are and what you’re doing. We’re on the same side. You can check in with your chain of command if you want. They’ll just tell you to work with me because we want the same thing.”

“What’s that?” Jack tested him.

“World peace?” Michael smiled as he answered the question in a questioning voice. That made Jack chuckle and relax a little.

“I’ve been maneuvering the trail of Erik Killmonger.” Said Michael, more serious again. “He’s got some US government connections but I haven’t been able to pinpoint the source.”

“I haven’t either,” Jack admitted.

“Let’s check with KITT.” Michael motioned to the car beyond them.

Jack got into the passenger side and watched Michael work with the car’s computer.

“Oh man,” Michael went depressed. “Southern Cross Army.”

“I know of them.” Jack said. “They’re a division of the Robotech Defense Force.”

“Yeah,” and Michael added more. “They’re not very nice either. That’s why nobody has ever heard of them. They let the RDF be the photo op guys and Southern Cross division handles the deep end stuff.”

“Why don’t you follow up that lead?” Jack suggested. “I might be able to make it easier for you when I talk with my connections.”

Michael agreed and took Jack to a hotel before going on with his investigation. He found himself at a military base not listed the RDF maps. It didn’t seem to be guarded although KITT sensed a number of sophisticated surveillance equipment.

“Well,” he said to KITT. “Since it’s not supposed to be here anyway, guess we might as well go on in.”

KITT pulled ahead. Their drive didn’t even last ten seconds before they were intercepted by a group of military police riding hover cycles. They didn’t fire, but they were obviously trying to divert the car back the way it came.

Michael let them think they were succeeding and then broke away as soon as he had an opening. This was a secret military organization with ties to an African would be despot. He didn’t feel compelled to cooperate.

Then, in response to his disobedience, KITT was intercepted by a hover tank. Michael didn’t know what to make of the thing, as if wasn’t even in KITT’s databank.

“You’ve have your warning!” A female voice bellowed through the hover tank’s loudspeaker. “Now you either turn that car off and get out or I blast you into a crater!”


“Doesn’t work for me.” Michael seethed. He was determined to get past that hovertank.

So it’s Knight Rider verses Dana Sterling piloting her hovertank. Michael is determined to get passed that Hovertank any way he can. And Dana is prepared to use deadly force in stopping him. She’ll be reluctant to transform into battleoid mode, but she will if it takes that to stop KITT.

I’m going with the newer Michael and KITT since they’re upgraded from the 80’s.
