Goliath and his daughter, Angela, are gliding on patrol when they notice Thailog, Goliath's evil clone, standing by himself on a rooftop. Shooting a suspicious glance at one another, they swoop down to investigate.

"Thailog!" says Goliath as they land. "What are you doing here?"

"Oh, just out for a leisurely stroll," replies Thailog with a sly grin. "And you?"

"You're lying!" snaps Angela. "What are you up to?"

"I was waiting for you two, actually," says Thailog. "I need to burrow you two for... an experiment."

"For another round of genetic testing from Sevarius, no doubt," says Goliath. "What you makes you think we would go along with it?"

"I'm afraid you don't really have a say in the matter," says Thailog.

"WHAT?!" shouts Goliath, as he and Angela growl in response, eyes glowing with fury.

"Those are strong words, especially since you came alone." says Angela.

"Oh, but I didn't come alone," says Thailog, smugness intact as he snaps his finger.

In drops a masked anthropomophic turtle, armed to the teeth with spiked armor, dual wrist blades on each arm and a samurai blade in hand.

"Slash, it seems my friends here don't want to play nice," says Thailog. "Help me bring them in, by any means necessary."

"And then you'll help me get my Binky back?" says the turtle in an agitated tone.

"Of course," replies Thailog. "In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if these two were the fiends that took it."

"YOU!!" says Slash as he charges the other two gargoyles, Thailog close behind with eyes aglow.

Okay, so this is a little more than a Rumble... I just wanted to test out the new Rumble/Match feature for myself, so here we go.

So here we have Goliath and Angela going against Thailog and Slash. Goliath, Angela, and Thailog can all glide and are strong enough to claw through steel. Goliath and Angela are experienced fighters. Thailog may not be so much, but he is a clone of Goliath, so he's Goliath's equal in strength and quickness. Plus, he has cunning that rivals David Xanatos. Angela is also strong for a female gargoyle. All three gargoyles can use all four limbs, their claws, and their tails to fight, and with these three in particular, their strength grows with anger.

Slash is a common foe of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He has shown to be able to use of the other Turtles weapons and has superhuman strength and durability, especially when angered. He's also as dumb as a brick and can be easily lead.

And... Slash isn't in the databases?!? Time to correct that...

I don't usually bump my own threads, but a certain someone felt compelled to flood this forum with a slew of matchups, so a lot of other rumbles may have been ignored.

Any opinions on this one before the vote ends?

Holy shit, someone else remembers Slash from the original 80s "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" cartoon!

As for the fight, Slash was always depicted as being strong than the Ninja Turtles, who I'm pretty sure are on the same power level as the Gargoyles, so Team 2 takes this.

I remember Slash, too. I believe he's a lot more serious and dangerous in the comics though, with a completely different back story. But I think team 1 wins. You know what would be really good? If I watched Gargoyels so that I could have some insite to who these characters are. Since everybody seems to be using them and all. I know I won't until like 2015 but, you know, setting the plan in motion.

What can I say? I'm old school. :)

Actually, the good Turtles can't rip through solid steel with bare hands like the gargoyles, but with their skills, I think they could still put up a good fight against a couple of them. Slash, however, could very likely hold his own against a gargoyle by himself with his own skills and freakish strength.

If you have the time, sound on your comp, and a pretty fast internet service, your best bet to catch Gargoyles episodes is to watch them on YouTube. Look for nayrusavatar's channel, where every ep is uploaded. Those have been censored quite a bit from their original airings, though.
