"And now, for the next round of the Hunger Games, the reigning champion, Katniss Everdeen, faces off against-...CATO!"

And thus, Katniss waits anxiously for the gates of the arena to open to reveal Cato. However, instead of the white teenager armed with a sword and a machete that everyone (including the audience) expects, a tall and athletic Asian man armed with a gas gun and a taser gun appears.

"Who the hell are you?" says Katniss in shock and confusion

"I am Cato!"

"No, you are not!" says Katniss

"Look, you came here to fight Cato, and here is Cato!" says Cato

"But...you are too old to be a Tribute!" says Katniss

"Didn't you hear? President Snow changed the maximum age for Tributes from 18 years old to 28 years old. And I'm 26 years old." says Cato

"OK, it's just that...you are not what I expected." says Katniss

"Ah, surely you must mean that muscular kid with the machete. I already defeated him. Cut off his head with his own machete. Do you think you can fare better than him, little Katie?" says Cato

"I am not afraid of you! I am the Girl Who Was On Fire, and I fear no Tribute!" says Katniss

"Good! Let's begin this fight, then!" says Cato

Again: both the book and movie versions of Katniss are valid for this match. However, this is the Bruce Lee Cato, and the Bruce Lee Cato ONLY. No other versions of Cato allowed.

And I KNOW that's it's spelled "Kato" and not "Cato". I spelled it that way to make the connection stronger between Kato from "The Green Hornet" and Cato from "The hunger Games".

So, can Katniss defeat THIS Cato?

Very interesting match-up and may I just say Redemption X that I'm sure AVP meant no disrespect. I'm part of a local forum back in my country and the people there are shitty as hell so I don't mind a veteran like AVP helping out on some minor details.

Anyway back to the really good fight, I think it is fair match if Katniss can keep some distance from Cato because anything up close would really be a sticky situation for her. Cato should get this if he can dodge the arrows and get up close and brutal to do what he does best plus that gas gun gives Katniss another reason to maintain a favorable distance.

Nice match. Katniss is smart and will most definitely strike from a distance first. Katniss will get away from Kato and retreat to form a plan. From there she will got for a attack that won't require her to go up close. Katniss wins

ok, you should probably state if Katniss starts with a bow this time and doesn't have to rush the cornocopia against Cato to get it. Honestly, I don't think she stands a chance against Bruce Lee Cato, even with a bow.

I see her firing and Cato rushing towards her deflecting the shot with his forearm, then he's on her and it's over. The second scenario is that she runs immediately and tries to outlast him, letting the elements and starvation take him. This is probably a better idea, and heck she might even get a shot at him from ambush (she better hit the mark though). However, Cato is no dummy and if it's the Hunger Games the gamemakers are going to force them together again and again just so the fight doesn't get boring.

They most likely won't be starting out near each other. She will have enough room to get away and retreat. Once she does that she is good as Katniss is a hunter and as a hunter she knows when to strike. Katniss is gone know when the moment to attack will be and that at the moment she has to make sure to hit her target precise for the kill.
