Watch every argument made here be ignored.

I didn't say I had to agree with what the writers do. People can argue it just makes no logical sense. The Hulk's not a god, hes mortal and not magic. His strength could never multiply over 1000 times what it is. I am no math wizard but again 100 tons to one million tons...that is so far of an increase, what is he going to do? Get mad until blood flies out of his nose? Another thing too, they never showed HOW he beat Black Bolt and that to me was because they could not come up with a way he could take Black Bolt's power..Black Bolt can destroy a planet.

-snip-

"Writing or not, he'd never lift over a million tons..its just too far of a number to achieve even with rage..."

And yet, he has done just that, on several occasions, in the comics.

"The Hulk's not a god"

Not true, as I have already mentioned once(in an earlier post), Odin named Hulk the God of Strength.

"hes mortal"

Depends on your definition of "mortal".

Hulk is no more mortal than Thor, Odin, Hercules, Zeus, etc.

"His strength could never multiply over 1000 times what it is."

And yet, it has done just that, on several occasions, in the comics.

"Black Bolt can destroy a planet."

So can Hulk, just by stepping firmly on it, as shown in the end of the World War Hulk storyline.

Well your opinion is yours and mine is mine, the writers are out of whack for writing something that insane. Being called a god does not make one a god. Odin didn't change him into a god, he can still die.

So can the Gods, technically.

Anyhow, the Hulk is the ultimate example of why these debates are pointless.

That would be fine if anyones opinion mattered on this subject.

I haven't given any "opinion" on this particular topic so far.

All I have given you is facts.

Hulk can, and have on several occasions, become more than powerful enough to easily lift 1 million tons. Fact.

Hulk is a God(of the Norse pantheon). Fact.

Hulk is no more, and no less, mortal than any other God from various pantheons in Marvel. Fact.

Hulk(at WWH levels) can easily destroy a planet. Fact.

Well the writers seem to make things fit whatever situation they need to. I know it's fantasy but he'd never get strong enough to lift a planet, the amount of rage or whatever just has to have a limit. I mean how mad can you get? Makes no sense. They say he was the strongest he has ever been in WWH yet we still don't know where he was ranked then.

Writing or not, he'd never lift over a million tons..its just too far of a number to achieve even with rage...

This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. How are you going to tell the writers who created a fictional mechanism how the mechanism works? Thats like telling the creators of Superman that Superman can't accelerate that fast in midair. Flight is fictional, if the laws of physics or mathematics applied at all, Superman wouldn't be able to fly in the first place.

Hulk rarely goes all out because he doesn't have to. He beats mostly everyone around the 1000 ton stage and if need be he can go much further but gain he doesn't need to. He rarely fights someone who can pull planets or can destroy continents.

The correct word is "has". Not "have".

Anu? How do you think writing works? The Hulk isn't a real thing. He can do literally whatever the writers say he can do. If the writers say that The Hulk can shit helicopters, then he can. You may not like it, you may choose to personally disregard that power when you think about the hulk, but you have no grounds to tell other people that the hulk doesn't have powers he's shown to have.

People just can't look at logic anymore, even with fantasy there has to be some limit to just common sense. The Hulk could lift a planet...man...believe whatever then...

Uh, no. Not wrong.

Facts.

Though you are more than welcome to point out exactly what it is you think is wrong, but every one of those Facts, come directly from the comics.

Ummm, no. Not at all.

What I'm saying is that the entire behind these kinds of discussions are pointless because ultimately they are based on "facts" from comic books. The problem being is that - unlike "facts" in the real world - comic book facts often defy logic and reasoning, vary over time and from writer to writer and can be retconned and re-retconned on a whim. Did all of those feats listed by sirmethos happen in a comic book? Probably. Does that have any bearing on what the Hulk can do? Not really.

Debating comic book facts is like debating locker room boasts. Why spend an hour arguing over who has banged more cheerleaders when the circumstances of each encounter vary with each re-telling, many of the claims are contradictory, a few defy the laws of physics and all of it is probably complete bullshit anyhow?
