What kind of equipment do they have access to during prep? Does Batman have access to the Batcave. Do the JLA members have access to the Watchtower. etc. etc.
What are the mindsets of the different characters? Do they each have their standard personalities from the comics, are they all bloodlusted, or.. what?
Is anything allowed? For example, is it allowed for characters to work together, to eliminate others, before they turn on each other?
etc. etc.

- Firestorm – the ‘one to watch’ really but I see him as potentially the most powerful if he really cuts loose. I mean the dude has trapped Superman in a kryptonite bubble when he was younger and less powerful and has been shown to be able to nuke people.
- Martian Manhunter for his power set and versatility
- Deathstroke for his excellent use of prep and fighting skills that are superior to Bats
It can really go any number of ways and depends entirely on who pairs against whom first. A few comments:
- Superman is out pretty much immediately; someone (probably Batman) is bringing Kryptonite to this fight
- Black Canary, Booster, Nightwing, Cyborg and Midnighter don’t have the skill or power set to stay long in the competition
- Hal J and Sinestro are probably going to go for each other right at the start of this, the same for Zoom and Wally West, which makes all of them easy targets for other competitors
- The reason I placed Martian Manhunter as one of my winners is because I see him as holding his own and more against Captain Marvel, Bizarro, Lobo and Wonder Woman
- The truly unpredictable fighter here is Joker. I mean what is his “detailed file” going to say:
****Human Criminal; Absolutely Nuts****
His prep is probably going to involve building a giant clown robot/bomb filled with acidic kryptonite spaghetti.
Would be interesting to see though.

Since most, if not all, of the heroes are gonna be working together to take them out first.
The fight also depends on which version of the characters we are talking about. Before or after the reset? After the reset, Superman doesn't really have much of a chance, but before the reset, he's a very real contestant for the first place(Superman has a week of prep as well, you don't think he's expecting someone to bring kryptonite?).

Well, if the characters are allowed to work together, before they eventually turn on each other, then that takes all the villains(except Lobo), out of the picture.

- Agreed, villains would be out of the picture first and quickly if the heroes work together
- The only problem with Sups is that, no matter how powerful he is (and indeed, pre reset he is powerful beyond belief) I cannot see his prep as equalling those that rely on it as their main power (e.g. Batman). Again, Martian Manhunter with intangibility and telepathy could hold his own against Wally, Superman and Wonderwoman at the same time (after reset).
- Having reminded myself of some of Firestorm's high end feats, I'm still counting him as the most likely winner (close tie to MM).

Through that, he has access to(among other things): Phantom Zone projector, Kandor('nuff said), and Kryptonian tech. Robots and warsuits among others.
In the Armory in the Fortress, he has a multitude of various weapons he has confiscated from villains over time. The science lab in the Fortress, is one of the most advanced on the planet. He also, in the Fortress, has examples of some of the most dangerous animal species in the universe.
Not to mention the fact that with his increased speed of mind, he(and the others who have the same mental speed) have the equivalent of several times the amount of prep time, that Batman and the others with normal human minds have.

If we are talking pre-reset, then Superman's prep time is vastly underrated, considering that he has access to the Fortress of Solitude.

As a Superman fan I am glad you realize this. Many people forget the vast other resources Superman has. I don't think the others in the fight would even stop to think that Superman would result to using those resources. if anything I don't think they would see Superman tossing some of them in the Phantom Zone because they would think that its not like Superman to do that in battle.
Edit: Pre-Reset I agree Superman wins. Post Reset its a toss up between Superman and Martian Manhunter.

And while Firestorm seems more powerful, he is also far less experienced.
Unlike most of the others, Martian Manhunter, post-reset, is a warrior that won't hesitate to do whatever it takes to win.

Captain Marvel
Sinestro
Hal Jordan, if it's from the comic with Sinestro, instead of the one from the JLA comics.
Lobo
Firestorm
Wonder Woman
possibly Midnighter and Deathstroke, with the 1 week of prep in mind.
I'd cal that "plenty of people".
As for the Manhunter, there are only 4 people on the list that have any kind of protection against Telepathy, possibly 6 if you count Batman and Deathstroke.

Oh true they could beat Superman its just that some of them wouldn't be able to do so with ease.
Post-reset, with the possible exception of Batman and Deathstroke. Yes, yes they would.
Post-reset, Superman is a LOT weaker, he has basically no combat skill, he has no experience, and unless my memory is playing tricks on me, he can't fly.
