How much of each do the GTA characters have? Hard to say; it's ultimately up to the Rockstar Games creators.

Then runs them over with the Batmobile.
The Bat-Hound eats their charred, squished remains, and he poops them out.
Which Alfred throws in the trash.
So...in the end, Alfred always wins.

That's exactly what I say. The GTA characters have oodles of natural talent, just no training to back it up. With the right training, they could surely become Punisher/Snake level. I'll admit, normally they'd lose to such characters (namely SnakeAnother answer to this would be it wouldn't really come down to how much training the GTA characters go through; it would come down to how much natural talent they have at the skills they're training on and how much desire and disipline they have to groom that talent.

Natural talent or not(and none of the GTA characters have actually shown that much natural talent), unless you add years of training to them, and decades of experience, they are just mobsters. I.e. Punisher could take all of them down(either one at a time, or all at once), before his morning coffee, and never break a sweat.
While they might(and that's a big Maybe), have some natural talent, the sad fact is that they have no skills or experience(not to mention physical or mental capabilities) that would allow them to be even a Challenge, to characters like Punisher, Black Widow, Bullseye, Batman, Nightwing, Deadshot, etc. etc.

Exactly. I completely, 100% agree. That's the purpose of this thread, what IF they got those years and years of training? How good COULD they get? What is their maximum potential?Natural talent or not(and none of the GTA characters have actually shown that much natural talent), unless you add years of training to them, and decades of experience, they are just mobsters. It seems like you only read part of what I wrote.
Let me quote the part you seem to have missed: "none of the GTA characters have actually shown that much natural talent"

I don't think Claude, Vance, or Huang Lee were drug users, though pretty much all of them dealt at one point or another. But yeah, basically everyone else was a rampant addict.Other than Niko is everyone forgetting that the GTA characters are heavy drug users? If you don't think that is a factor then I suggest you research the long term effects of drug use.

Most dealers dip into their products. To check if the coke was cut, pure, etc. It takes one time to be an addict.I don't think Claude, Vance, or Huang Lee were drug users, though pretty much all of them dealt at one point or another. But yeah, basically everyone else was a rampant addict.

While it's true that most dealers check the product, it takes more than one time to be an addict.

whaaaaat? No way, none of the characters were ever shown to use their product. I have no idea where your getting this info from, but it's wrong.Other than Niko is everyone forgetting that the GTA characters are heavy drug users? If you don't think that is a factor then I suggest you research the long term effects of drug use.

I'd have to disagree, I have personally seen people get addicted to come after using it one time. It is a 15 minute high, and once the high is gone you crave more. Not saying everyone is like that, depends on a few factors. While it's true that most dealers check the product, it takes more than one time to be an addict.
@Jaegar- I never was a dealer, but I have been around it more then I'd like to say. A couple of my former friends deal it, the minute they started doing it/selling it was the minute they were no longer my friends.
@Spy- pretty sure CJ smoked weed and did other drugs. As for Tommy, sorry but you do not become a big timer like him and not do drugs. When you are around it all day and night, the temptation is there. Especially if you have had a few drinks in you.

Take CJ for example. To me CJ has way better feats/skill/talent/training then most of the protagonist of GTA because he developed them as the story progressed. The missions in GTA SA were more over the top and harder then any GTA game I've. CJ met many people that taught him new things and skills. One person being Mike Torino(A Gov't agent). To me the sole reason CJ is underestimated(Not just on this site) is because people just think of him just as a gang banger.
But if you actually completed the game, 100% you would know that he has become a much better person then before. I mean he stole a billion doller jet pack from area 51.
As the story progressed CJ learnt new skills/training that made him deadly. This includes driving military jets! Some of CJ feats include stealing a billion dollar jet pack from area 51, robbed and took millions from a well played robbery of a very rich casino, planned many heist around multiple small counties, had a dog fight with the military, asked to steal intelligence from the Gov't,etc,etc,etc..... That's not all CJs best feats. As I say again, the sole reason why he is underestimated is because he is boxed in as being a gangsta only guy, The irony is CJ towards the end cared less of being a gangster or living the gangster life, but want to continue his assets that he earned. He only went back to helping the Groove street family, because his wanted him to and CJ owed him.
Also CJ is also good in h2h and firearms. He actually knows three fighting styles. I mostly talk about CJ, because he is the most underrated, but the most successful protagonist in GTA.

Because all of the feats mentioned are most often than not, due to the incompetence of the law or the people themselves in the games. >.>
