Looked at their IPs. Yes, they're in different cities that are separated by a couple of hundred miles. Unless there's some tampering going on, which IS possible, they're legitimately two different people.

I still have my suspicions, but at the moment everything's cool.

Your reaction is telling- you seem far more concerned with arguing about this topic than you are in creating characters. You haven't used the FAQ or Character Analysis boards, you never bothered to introduced yourself as a new user, you just launched straight into a classic guilty defense. Treacherous suspects you. Treacherous has credibility here, you do not. Therefore, you are under suspicion. We're letting you know up front, before anyone takes any action, (be it blocking or deleting characters, suspending accounts, banning IPs. etc etc,) what the rules are and what the consequences for breaking those rules are. Simple as that. It is an administrator's job to let you know. The FPL is a small, close-knit community, and we naturally bristle when we sense a threat to that. Nobody has taken any action against you- you're being given a chance to prove yourself. What happens next is up to you.

"Random people off the internet" don't get to vote on FPL matches. Only registered FPL users do. I can honestly say there aren't even any FPL lurkers who consistently vote- every consistent voter has at least one character in the gallery. Some have ten or fifteen characters. None of those voters would vote for your characters. If you're insulted by that, improve the quality of your characters.

That was not an insult, it was a fact. Your characters are not good. The gallery is full of good characters, like this one and this one and this one and quite a few others, too. (To say nothing of the vast litany of previous FPL champions in the Hall of Fame) Your characters would lose to all of those characters. That is not an insult, it is an accurate prediction based on the twelve years I've been creating characters for this website. It is possible that you will improve the quality of future characters. It is probable that- if you stick around- your third character won't be much better than these two, but you will make small improvements as you learn the system and the voters' preferences. It is also possible that you will maintain the charade of being two separate people with identical writing styles who are only ever online at the same time in spite of the fact that they live "a hundred miles apart," and in that event you will be dealt with accordingly. It's stupidly easy to mask your IP, which is one of the reasons we've learned to trust our guts. You are welcome to stick around and prove yourself as a member of the community. You don't start out having "rights," especially coming from extremely suspicious circumstances, but nobody has done anything except tell you how it is. If you want to stay and become part of the community, welcome. If not, goodbye.

Here's the deal. I gave you the opportunity to be ambiguous. I made a thread complaining, but I never gave your name. I PM'd you and didn't expose you publicly like I do on our other forum (The CBUB). I accused you, but I never exposed you. You were given the opportunity to do whatever it was you needed to do to prove yourself with just me and only me. Nobody else had to know. You however brought this out into public light. You have now aroused the suspicions of other admin and other users. However, I'm sure a lot feel sorry for you because they feel you are telling the truth. However if you had just left this silent, you wouldn't be a public spectacle right now. Unless you goal is to embarrass an admin or prove that I got this wrong. Well problem with that is, I don't really care if I got it wrong. It won't change my MO. I have one wrong out of every other right, I'll take that record. Regardless, I still don't think I'm wrong. Actually, I have a suspicion that you are probably someone else that knows this board and has tried the FPL before. It didn't work out, so you tried again under an alias. Who comes on a forum and knows how to move around it, but doesn't know regular internet slang such as Multi-accounter. You knew what a noob was, but not multi-accounter. Those two often run hand in hand. But, that's me. I'm suspicious about new users who appear to be EXTREMELY SUSPICIOUS. This won't change that. long story short, I was willing to let you have your masquerade and live peacefully until you hung yourself. You are the one that decided to bring this out of the PM's and into the limelight. It won't be pretty for you now. See I just invited a ton of new users to FPL and you may have had a better chance since they are all new at this, but now... people are going to be suspicious. If you are a new user, forgive me for trying to protect the site I love. You should've left this in PM's. Then It would've been just your opinion against mine.

We obviously can't confess to being a multi-accounter because we are not. I can't say that enough times but none of this matters, I'm tired of bickering about characters on a website. I'm sorry to have been a nuisance, but we are two separate people. But like I said, I apologize for wasting you all's time.

9/10 times treach has been right. Only 1/10 times, a very rare fraction treach has really ever been wrong. So thus to poster, and his "friend", if you are a multi-accounter I'd confess now, and hope that the admins give you a minor punishment, rather than have both accounts be banned for good.

I didn't say i was new to the internet, i said i was new to the fpl. And if i wasn't i would've known to write a story instead of a short synopsis in my background area. Either way delete me if you honestly can't absorb the fact that you may have been wrong. I've recommended quite a few people to the site but i hope they don't com if this is how you treat newcomers. i didn't call you out, i just said that ADMIN had messaged me and if you look the question initially was about what the problem with multi-accounting was. I didn't realize the site had more than one administrator, and thats why i used your name. i apologize for that. for such a small site there sure are a crapton of admins coming out of the wood work. If you don't delete me, i'll forget about this and enjoy the site that i was actually excited to join. if you delete me, that will completely suck, especially seeing as i'm innocent. i assure you i don't know how to hack a system to mess with IP addresses, and the only time i've been on this site before was looking at battles between my favorite real heroes. but whatever you think is right you know my reaction. i don't know how to prove the point further. i will not apologize for my reaction to being falsely accused, because i think any of you would've reacted the same in my situation, especially as an excited new user.

gbhowhatever, relax, these things happen, no damage here is permanent and no reputation beyond salvage. If you really want to continue on this site and build some credibility, you can. But you need to let this go first.

If you look at the original post, you can see i started this in a calm manner. I then got the answer i needed and was done. It escalated later, and i may be at fault for that for being 15 and immature but this is still no way to respond for anyone.

Don't blame this on being 15:p
Anyways, check out the cbub, we tend to not criticize as much and will help you improve before your writing skills are put to the test in fpl.

That's actually a bad idea. What he would need now is more criticism on the FPL side. That would beat any CBUB "experience", of that I have little doubt.
