Yes, I did say that. It would also be completely impossible by our laws of physics for that to happen.

Who knows what would happen? Every time they stepped into the hyperbolic time chamber, they did step into a different dimention and could still use their powers.

So, a power level of 600 is enough to destroy a planet, but 120,000,000,000 isn't enough to destroy a galaxy? Sorry but Star Wars has nothing in its arsenal to counter DBZ feats and power. So, Buu destroying dimensional barriers isn't proof?

If you read my previous posts, you'll see that I'm saying that Buu can destroy galaxies and that the laws of physics shouldn't apply when debating comics or anime.

Let's do the math.

120,000,000,000 divided by 600 leaves you with 200,000,000.

So 120,000,000,000 should be sufficient to level 200,000,000 PLANETS. That's about half, or so, the estimated number of stars in our galaxy. So theoretically, no, 120,000,000,000 shouldn't destroy a galaxy. Although it should leave a really big gap.
And Grano is right... Actual physics should be largely ignored here, especially in relation to DBZ. Really, those guys just pull numbers out of a hat.

So basically "Even though it doesn't look anything like "galaxy busting" lets still call it that?"

It may be a different form of Galaxy Busting... their power may have just canceled out the stars energy, or they may have just created a shock wave that scattered the stars without a supernova, kinda like blowing the seeds off a dandelion rather than putting a cherry bomb in it.

Besides there is one thing that we can all agree on... When Akira Toriyama put pen to paper he knew nothing of astrophysics, and as such wouldn't know the things that we know. Also at the time of the creation of Dragon Ball, there was no Wikipedia to check these facts, the Internet was in the dark ages back then.

I was going to say something about both of those scenarios being impossible with the visuals involved and physics (how would you "cancel" out the energy of a star? You can't make stars, "disappear") and the shockwave idea fails because: any explosion large enough to generate a galactic scale shockwave would also be visible from outside the galaxy, and the stars don't disappear in that uniform manner. Some of the farther out ones disappear before the ones nearer to the inner core.

I was going to say that. But that would make granobulax mad, and would mess up DBZ alot. So I can't. <_<

Of course. But this also means that DBZ can only do what they do inside of their own universe. Once they go outside, into other universes however....

Ha! <_< Do you think I was getting mad? I wasn't mad, just pointing out that physics can't apply for comics and anime is all.

Just look at some Hulk feats. Using physics, could a being of Hulks size really blow up an asteroid 2x the size of earth by punching it or do major damage to the eastern seaboard from a step? (I think those are his feats anyway)

How's about the physics of Superman flying at light speed in earths atmosphere?

Or the physics about BlackBolt's voice?

Or how's about my favorite, any character that goes inside the event horizon of a black hole and makes it out live.

I'm not mad at all, I was just pointing out that debating against a comic or anime based on physics would eliminate the whole genre. There would be nothing to debate.

an asteroid 2x the size of earth

Shouldn't that have been classified as a Rogue Planet rather than an Asteroid?
