Concluded my run through with my first character, Dark Elf named Legolas. Starting my first real playthrough (not having difficulty at Novice and exploring and shit) with an Orc named Lurtz. Full melee character.
Kudos to whoever gets the name reference without having to look it up.

This is to post anything Skyrim, primarily for me and Soberguy who are probably the only two who will enjoy talking this much about it.

Heh, just finished up playing Skyrim myself. I haven't been able to give as much time to it as I would have liked; I'm at level 15 or so. Nord named Safton, primarily specializing in heavy armor and two-handed weapons. Unlike what seems like every other person I talk to, I joined up with the Imperials.
And I got the name references

Funny story, I'm running around just exploring and stuff when I see this dragon fly over me, it starts a fight with me and I'm getting beat up. I'm level 8 right now( Nord named Melkor ) pretty much I'm not that powerful and I decide to run away. As I am running, I see the dragon pick a fight with two Giants and are enough the Dragon gets ko'ed and for some reason gets sent flying in the air with a club blow. I collect the soul of the dragon and run away. Maybe it's just me, but I laughed my ass off.

Ya I got the reference, Legolas is this guy from Harry Potter!Kudos to whoever gets the name reference without having to look it up.

Anyways, out of the three games I have gotten this year (Skyrim, Arkham City, and MW3) I'd say Skyrim is my third favorite.
While MW3 is pretty much like MW2 I still love it. Being a huge Batman fan, I loved Arkham City, it is my favorite of the three.
Skyrim is awesome don't get me wrong, but people blew it out of proportion. It reminds me of Fable 2 and Champions Return to Arms combined. You can do more in Skyrim, but I'd wager Arkham City is the better game. It is my pick for Game of the Year.

Eh, MW3 is okay at best. And this is coming from a rabid FPS fan who played over 21 days of MW2, to say nothing of the other CoDs.
As for Arkham City -- it looks fun, but it's just not my kind of game. I'd watch someone else play it, but that's about it.
On the other hand, not getting my Skyrim fix makes me want to do horrible, horrible things to the people around me.

You should try Dark Souls.
Has anyone played Dark Souls?

Seriously. He cut Sean Bean's redemption short. Real short.

I had an arrow stuck in the back of my head for the longest time. It was super annoying. It went away by some guy smacking me with a sword.I've got a level 27 Redgard melee-type named Supafunkadunka. The best part so far? The glitch in which arrows are permanently stuck in his knee and forehead. #unicornboy
