Ham: Character sheets have no origin. More for fun, but thats how it is.

Bobisbeast: characters have yet to be posted. However ive worked extensively with him on them so I know its coming.

Kinetic war: same as bob.

Blue flame: we talked over equipment, but if im reading right, she has no powers in this one?

Mercenaryblade: need stats, powers have to be moved around to fit correctly(see definition of primary/secondary powers and other examples.) and be allocated via points(ex. 5 pts for secondary power ehnanced reflexes lvl 1)

Avp v terminator: past still showing interest, I have heard nothing from him.

nd: same as merc in regards to both stats and power allocations

G4: just add power allocations(ex 5 pts for secondary power for vampire phisiology, 10 for primary for transformation, etc)

Omfg: need to allocate power pts(aka superspeed) to be able to use power, as 3 in speed is peak human.

A few people have worked on their stuff. So far, not bad. Understandable given were so close to the new year, but just thought I'd update the who to bug list.

Just noticed how long its been since I've seen some of these people.

@Tom: Loud n clear, though Im sure you got time. Same for a few others who threw in a bit for new characters(there are a few). To show this isn't dead I will be posting a 3rd batch for the hell of it. Should be a mix bag of heroes and villians this time. Other than a few Origin fixes(and you know who you are) and waiting to see if a few people havent dropped off the face of the internet, we are almost ready to debate on a start date.....

On that note, if any UWT alumni are still around in this RP, mind poking Elly for a reminder this is in the works. Oh and to brutally murder ND/rush him. Thank you Now then

Well it probably doesn't matter much, since the backstory might not be much included anywhere online, but my original idea for his character was that he was an AI that escaped with a group of friends from a battle in the future.* Upon arrival in the past (the current time where this Reach City RP will be taking place) he finds that all of his friends died in the escape and the ship's equipment failed and all of the specialized equipment failed and the only suitable body he could inhabit just happened to be a soldier robot that was messed up.

Now to me, this all seems a bit too contrived.

So, a new background that I just came up with as I typed this comment is quite similar, and maybe still contrived a bit, but not as contrived.

So in this new story he arrives in an escape pod instead of a ship, already in the body of a soldier machine. It might not be a big difference, but to me it changes the tone of his backstory from "Oh, he and his friends escaped a bad situation, and then things got worse even after they escaped" to "Oh, he escaped a bad situation".

The other thing is now I want him to shoot lasers from his EYES instead of his HANDS. Like those cool robots from 60s sci-fi stories.

Ok, that sounds fun. I thought you meant everything, up to n including meetin Maria. Heh, yeah do what you will with that, Im sure itll be good.

Ok, no problem with that change. Nohting that'd be an issue from the mechanics of how the power essentially works, except for maybe lack of proper dual wielding, but on the other hand this does leave your arms free. Have fun, let me know if ya edit.

Origin: Captain Sphinx hails from an alternate future/universe where mankind has achieved many technological wonders, descended from a long line of pilots and space explorers he is a member of the 5th star patrol he joined at a young age out of a sense of duty and patriotism, he soon found himself involved in a war fighting against Space N@zis of the 4th Reich, Sphinx quickly rose through the ranks being a fair shot with a raygun and an ace pilot, one day he was given a small ship and crew and sent out against a group of Space N@zis who were conducting experiments with dimensional portals, he chased a small fleet of them through the portal and ended up crashing outside Reach City, he and his companions realized they could make a differeance fighting against crime but they never lost sight of their primary goal, seek out and destroy the members of the 4th Reich who are no doubt somewhere in their new home.

Yeah, sorry again :/...............on the bright side we now have a map of the world! From Skykorean and Ham.....you can stone them later >: D. Anyways this hans't really been touched by mesince several players have gone outie(guessing mid-terms/real life shit/whatever) which is fine given the situation.

To clear up a few thingies;
*Anything not shown here on the map is asurrounded by the city 'barrier'
*'Rual areas' is supposed to be rural areas, typo.
*The white area is supposed tobe more forested area, and the middle box is the entrance into the city from the city walls
*The black line running from the box through downtown, uptown, and main city is a railway/bullet train line
*The outer suburbs area is lberally mixed with Rural areas.

A breakdown of the locations present within the 14 sectors;

Slums: The slummy area is really where villians will try to hide out, if not necessarily hang around normally. This is where heroes really get a taste of the unexpected and difficult. It's got that widest margin, with individuals from all walks of life and is surrounded by both coast and forested area, perfect for hiding and ambushes for both sides. Police keep the upmost watch, heroes are always ona lert, and vilians are always plotting. Good luck

Main city: Where everything happens, sometimes quite literally; the metropolis area, biggest buildings, busiest , and the main HQ for most of the hero organizations as well as a few villian ones. It's symbolic in that it is smack dabbed in the middle. Home to the big guns all around, most Headquarter's make their home here. You can always find something going on here right in the open.

Coastal city: It's a city...near the coast. Beaches, docks, and piers galore close to the water. Further inland is fairly mundane city structure and establishments....for the most part. Not including the fish people of course. Among other things. Let's just say living beside the water in this town leads to some interesting sights.

Uptown: Where the upper class lives. Alot of the heroing around here tends to be subtle, whether due to crime needing to be stealthy, the homeowners not taking kidnly to superhero brawls, or civillians taking up private security. Do be careful.

Downtown: Probably as normal as your going to get in this city. On the minus side, crime rates is equivalwent to your average downtown area. That's without including the various superpowered fights and other scenarios that could godown in a second class part of town...on second though, maybe this isn't so normal.

Rural area- Grass, dirt, and superpowers don't always mix. It might not look like much, but looks can always be decieving. A very old fashioned area for sure, everyone around is just a bit more simple.

Suburbs- The main housing district for one, this place is akin to an average city with a little bit of everything to keep you on your toes.

NOTE:
More dangerous area does not go by color. If u noticed, most of the #'d sectors are just about equally divided. However a good rule of thumb to how 'dangerous's an overall area is would be how many sectors its split in which also means it's unofficial borders have ble d into each other surroundings. So a one-r isnt too priority as theres not too much risk or room for crime. Heck rhey could act as auxillary to nearby big spot. Meanwhile the big three sector splits(slums, main city, and uptown) are most likely to have criminal activitu for their own reasons. think of em as gotham, metropolis and star city respectively.

Now the areas that arent numbered work a little differently; theyre more of a Neutral zone. Heroes do get called there, but locals are trusted with amything above what ud expect local police(if applicable)to handle. no PC's are dedicated to patrolling those areas.



Please start with the suggestiond ates or let me know if you have info on a given missing player/ and or shall be scarce in recent weeks. We'll take as much time as we need guys but this will happen for sure. Any questions about the map, please let me know so we can make a FAQ for this. Batch #3 will come soemtime this week to keep the cast of characters interesting.

Hehe, silly me. I forgot to explain this. Well, the 14 sectors will be the main areas of RPin during your stay in Reach City. Each will be assigned during the Orientation stage of the RP and for the most part will be your proving grounds; barring story missions, or other in-character reasonings. More details on this, ask away.

Code name: The Viper

Alter ego: Opal Hart

Origin: Being the daughter of a poison-wielding villain and his lover, she was born with the ability to produce poisons within her body. Apparently, that little science experiment daddy tried out on himself got implanted into the good ol’ genes.

Since her father wasn’t exactly... well, father material, Opal was raised by a single mother who never really let her forget she was a mistake baby by going out all the time with her current flings under the excuse that she “never really got a chance to live”. Some excuse.

Opal lived under the assumption that she was probably the result of a one-night-stand until she nearly killed her younger half-brother at thirteen when a strange transparent gold liquid started to seep from her hands and absorbed into his skin while she was holding him. Yikes. Her mom had to tell her about her father then.

He’s mostly the reason why she’s here. Being told about him sort of triggered her into a sort of father complex. She aspires to be like him... in her own special way, of course.

Affiliation: Villain

Public status: Really, sort of an Anti-Villain. While she does get herself into trouble for the hell of it, the base of how she uses her powers has a lot to do with the desire to make her father proud somehow.

Appearance: Opal’s got that bombshell look; Curvaceous body, pretty face, tanned skin and cascading locks... You get the picture. She has a nice, heart-shaped face with full lips and hazy-green eyes, while she’s also got a good head of wavy chocolate brown hair. Despite her, erm, feminine figure, she is quite fit, with most of her muscle being in her core and legs.

Costume: A dark green jumpsuit that covers Opal from her neck to her ankles. Although it’s skin tight, it allows for easy movement and can be zipped at the neck, wrists, and ankles. However, she usually only unzips the neck a bit. As for footwear, she wears sturdy black boots that lace up to her knees that are garnished with a strip of gold at the top of each boot. And no, they do not have stiletto heels stuck to ‘em. To top it all off, she carries a thick black belt at her waist to hold her throwing knives. It’s sturdy, to the point it could probably take a bullet and be just fine. Also, it’s water/poison/blood proof and oh, so stylish. How nifty!

Primary power: Why, poison secretion of course! It comes from three main places in the highest concentrations: Her salivary glands (so pretty much her mouth), her hands (but fingers in particular), and chest, however she uses the first two much more often than the last. If Opal were to want to hit a target a bit further away, she would likely opt to spit out poison. It tends to get some good distance, but doesn’t send out as much at one time. But, let’s say she was in close-range combat and wanted to do some damage. Poison spray from the skin on her hands could probably reach about six feet at a maximum, but sends out a fairly good dose of it. Therefore, it would be the smarter choice.

Since her body creates the poison, Opal is almost completely immune to it. Almost. Prolonged creation of the stuff can have some nasty side effects, like blackouts or a fierce burning sensation, so she wouldn’t be set with her poison if it was a long battle.

The way her poison works is simple: It enters the victim’s body through their pores and then wreaks havoc. At her current level, all it can do is cause some pretty excruciating pain (feels like a fierce burn... pretty much hurts like hell), nausea, and can occasionally knock a person out in large amounts. It isn’t fully lethal yet.

Secondary power: Super strength. It’s current level, she could probably lift a grown male and throw a pretty decent punch. Bones will most likely be broken. Her strength mostly comes in strikes, not heavy lifting.

Equipment: Poison and seduction. Both of which can get you quite far.

Armor: Light armor is built into her jumpsuit, mostly at the torso, elbows and knees, but it’s not going to do much if she was going to get stabbed or shot at or something.

Weapons: She keeps a set of six or so throwing knives at each side of her belt at all times, each blade lovingly coated in her poison. It comes in handy if her body can’t handle any more secretion of toxins

Other: While Opal’s a bit of a bitch, she’s a master at pulling out the seduction and charm when need be.

Origin: Cassie grew up in the U.K hearing stories of several family members who used to be in the superheroing biz. Though she heard amazing tales of what they've accomplished her parents forbade her from trying anything. That is because while most of her extended family lived very interesting lives, they all came to crashing halts. A heroes life tends to not end with old age and they did not want that for Cassie. besides, so they told her many times, she didn't even have any superpowers and while she was physically fit, they managed to persuade that wouldn't be enough. Unfortunately for them, one day she figuredout she did have superpowers. Not just any, the power over gravity. Realizing she had the potential to become one of the most powerful gifted to ever live, she ran away to Reach City. Well less ran and more floated.

Origin: Dave was born in Reach City and was always a telepath. Unfortunately for him, this made things terribly complicated since that tended to be an advertised fact wherever he went. Normally it wouldnt've been so much of an issue, but he was known for being notoriously good. Almost too good in fact. He ende dup freelancing until R.C. P.D. enlisted him to do...well anything a telepath would be needed to do. He takes his work ins tride and tends to not be affected by things any more.

Real Name: Irwin Riley

Origin: Snapper wasn't always a 2 1/2 foot alligator thingy. Once he was 2nd. Lt. Irwin Riley, 8 year veteran of the British Special Air Service. At 41 however he started to feel a bit rusty. At 45, he was deemed physically unfit to continue active duty. A bit desperate, Irwin was a tad too willing to join anything that'd allow him to continue service. The good news was that he was quite literally re-invigorated, and even enhanced past what he could do in his peak. The bad news was he was a 2 1/2 foot kobold who weighed under 50 lbs. Apparently not many people hire those types of individuals regardless of how spotless their resume is. At some point he was repeatedly contacted by some 'bloke' by the name of Foreman who suggested a job over in Reach City, the place with all the superheroes. With not many more options, be gave in and headed for his new job in reach City PD.

Origin: On the other side of the galaxy, Lizzy is a lady in waiting on her home planet of Sss'la. However that is a life she seldom thinks of after a diplomatic trip to earth. She landed(read crashed) on Reach City, rather than her intended destination of the UN building. She succeded in opening up communications between the two planets, but it'd be time before anyone arrived for her. So she sought some action. to pass the time And there was no better place on the planet to look for that than Reach.

Assocaites: Jurassic trio- New to reach city, this trio of dino men intends to tear into this city with their raw power and take what they want. Not much is known how they came to be, but they appearloyal to each other and few others.

Alter ego(s): Kurtis Cage and Kam Yuan

Origin: Two ordiary martial artists at first, both independantly joined a martial arts tournament held by a wise old sage who was said to have complete control over the body. The two handily won their preliminary matches and in the end the final battle was between the two. Their styles, though different, meshed together perfectly and the two were dead even. The master stopped the match and decided to train both of them, each learning half of the master's power to aid in their forms of combat.
