Imperium: 2000 Retribution class Battleships, 2500 Emperor Class Battleships, 3000 Apocalypse Class Battleships, 4000 Imperial Vengeance Class Grand Cruisers, 5000 Imperial Cruisers, 7000 Light Cruisers, 15 000 Sword Class Frigate, 15 000 Cobra Class Destroyer, 15 000 Falchion Class Escort.

All have full fighter/bomber compliments and are outfitted with full exterminautus arrays.

The fleet will emerge just outside of the Moon's orbit.

Marvel Earth: 10 minute warning to all Heros. Everything is current.

Objectives: The Imperial fleet must preform exterminautus on both Earth and it's moon. All or most superhumans are to be completely wiped out.

Marvel Earth must wipe out the incoming fleet.

So like 68,500 ships, each with atmosphere destroying bombs? That will be hard for Marvel Earth. Thor, the Avengers and all the Omega Class mutants who are invulnerable will eventually destroy the entire fleet. But I doubt they can stop earth from being annihilated with 10 minutes notice. Cmon, Magneto with a few nukes made them freak out...

Mmmmm don't think so. An armada this size would be able to destroy about any Marvel universe alien empire completely. Shiar, Kree, Skrull etc.. or probably all of them at once. 1,000 of the main battle ships could destroy a solar system very fast and we have 68,500 vessels altogether. Only the completely invulnerable Marvel beings will likely survive. Or those who can teleport or otherwise escape from Earth.

It really comes down to whether or not Earth based cosmic are included. The Asgardians, Inhumans, Eternals, Heralds of Galactus etc... Any Mystic beings, Also... Will the villains help defend? How about the ones who already wanted to destroy Earth? Maybe they will try and make a deal with the Imperium?

There is never too much metal for Mags. I reckon he could rip them all apart pretty quickly. Threat over.

Any earth based reality warper could easily take care of it(like Legion or Mister M) or a Telekinetic with nigh-unlimited energy at his disposal(like X-man), high level sorcerers(like Dr. Strange or Dr. Doom). High level telepaths could take over the minds of some of the people on the ships, turning the ships against each other(X-man, Legion, Emma Frost, Exodus, etc.). People with powerful enough destructive powers could take out several, if not all, of the ships as well(Thor, Blue Marvel, Uru-Armor Iron Man, Quasar, etc. etc.). Teleporters could deposit some of the more powerful people directly into the ships, or in some cases simply go there themselves, and either destroy the ships from within, or simply take over the ships.(Apocalypse, Mr. Sinister, Gateway, Exodus, etc.).

There are so many ways for Marvel Earth to destroy the fleet that it's not even funny. And I have only scratched the surface of the people who could take care of the problem alone, let alone working together.

You realize that each of the empires you mentioned, Shi'Ar, Kree, and the Skrulls, each have an empire with influence at least the size of an entire Galaxy, right? :P

Anything Earth-based is involved, but none of the Heralds to my knowledge.

I'm not an expert on comic book characters like Magneto, nor on the Imperium. But I think that simply saying "Magneto can stop the entire attack because the ships are made of metal" is a bit silly. You're talking about nearly 70,000 different huge ships, possibly approaching the planet from different angles, in various groups, all capable of destroying entire continents with a casual volley of their weapon systems (or so I've heard...).

There are just so many ships with so much firepower, and they're well-versed in destroying planets. I don't doubt there are Marvel heroes capable of destroying the fleet, but even if they're going light-speed and knocking about ten ships a second, I don't think it'll be enough.

Then what exactly was the big deal about the Annihilation wave? Aside from Annihilus their ships sucked, and their weapons were short ranged and were more or less as powerful as your average sidewinder missile, and yet they stood a very real chance of wiping out everything.

Hell even three or four Heralds working at once couldn't kill them all fast enough.

I never said Magneto affected the ships, jeez.

There are MANY other applications Mags has with his powers...

And he can boost them to insane levels by using Earth's electromagnetic field was my point.

Its not only metal he affects, people. :P

Uh huh.....so they're clearly much much stronger then we saw them to be in every observable instance......because? Or are you trying to suggest that the Heralds were holding back for some reason?

I'm still not sure how any of this is supposed to help him, or anybody else when it would take the fleet all of seconds to remove North America, and the crust it sits on from the face of the planet.

The heroes have 10 minutes warning, it should be fairly simple to create a forcefield which can withstand the force of the Imperiums weapons
