Deathstroke was good, Slade being the bad ass that he is.

Grifter wasn't good. I realize it is setting the plot up, but you aren't missing much from this issue.

Hmm, guess I'll be picking up Deathstroke as well. So many comics, so little time...

I've bought Green Arrow, Batman, Blue Beetle, Green Lantern corps, Red Hood and the Outlaws, Nightwing and Captain Atom. Green Lantern and Blue Beetle have probably been my favourites so far.

Hahah she is one sexy bitch though. Also, I kinda like that trio, even though the concept of the first issue was very anti-middle eastern and just not that great of an issue, it did have its moments  dirty, dirty girl.

LOL not that I didn't like it. But it was like DC said f**k any respect this character had and her history. She is useless and is just better off as eye candy.

It depends how much you liked Jason, overall it is a pretty poor issue, but there are a few funny moments. Batman and Nightwing are far superior.

SPEED'EDIT* I'm glad Todd's costume is cool, unlike that previous Mysterio looking gimp.

Jason Todd is one of my favorite characters which is why I like it. Its a pretty fun and decent issue. But for the money you pay for comics these days I say unless your a big fan of Jason or Red Arrow skip it.

Jason Todd being alive is a slap in the face to democracy.

Yeah, but he was involved in some good story lines after his revival and it is a reboot, so any character could have came back.

Does his backstory still involve being killed by Joker and punched back to life by Superboy-Prime?

I presume so, but I'm not 100%. He still has a Bat sign on his chest and refers to himself as "hopefully not the worst sidekick", so probably yes.

It is still pretty funny, I hope the banter carries on between Speedy and Hood, it could make the series.

I think they should go with Under the Red Hood and make it the Lazarus pit. Personally, I think that if used correctly, Jason Todd could become one of the *best* characters DC has had in a long time. They need to make him an alternative to Batman. Instead of a gun wielding Punisher expy, or some run of the mill anti hero, he should be a vigilante, but with an alternative method to fighting crime.

I think this is what they were going for originally, to the point that he made a very convincing argument with Bruce on how they couldn't stop crime in the long run and it would involve less innocent death if they were to control it and to put down the loose ends like Joker who couldn't be leashed. Of course, there are flaws with his ideals, but then Batman himself isn't exactly as good for Gotham as he believes depending on how you look at it.

Unfortunately, DC has to go ahead and shove down our throats who is the bad guy and who is the good guy. Instead of going in a direction that would provide *very* good character interaction, dialog and a new and interesting direction for Gotham City, they let it slip away just for the same old repetitive nonsense that has been fueling the company. I've yet to read the reboots, but honestly I am just not interested.

I recommend Deathstroke. If you end up not liking it, it's only 2.99.

Wow. Batman #1 and Justice league were both awesome. Detective, action, deathstroke, and superman are all still soled out though. Luckily I reserved them all, so I'll be reading em soon.
