im going to do that in my next tournament.. the bracket will only consist of power house characters.. and they will be in the bracket were they can match-up with someone well in the first round.. after that it really is up to everyone else what happens to be honest. i am actually getting ready to put the bracket together.. im doing a 32-man bracket this time, and im going to use the top 4 from each category.

Trojan, I'm going to give you advice, DON'T DO THE NEXT TOURNAMENT! All the matches were stomp and half of the set-ups were bad. I'm not trying to be mean but tournaments are not as cool for a lot of people. If you want to do a thing like that choose some/one main character (No DBZ Characters) then do an arc. Again i'm not trying to be mean im just saying tournaments suck.

By now you probably have an idea what CBUB users want in a setup. People didn't really mind that much when your setup made two characters who weren't in the same weight class evened out.

It helps if the contestants are mostly capable of fighting each other(or racing, or doing pushups or whatever the match up has them doing) at the same level to start at.

There was at least on tournament done on the back issues where everyone was martial artist and most had the abilities of a human being who worked out hard. You could maybe do one for dogs, or people who use guns, or swordsmen or air planes?

First of all, do not let people discourage you from doing a tournament. Tournaments are awesome and used to be all the rage in the old CBUB. The tournament that just wrapped up had some serious match issues, but at least the dialogue improved between the two characters. Plus, you started making things even (kind of) towards the end. So, just spellcheck your match, maybe read over it, and try to make sure all the fighters are in a close range of one another.

How does Goku stomp Thor? Thor is the god of thunder, a certified bad@$$, and a vicious fighter. He's definitely in a Superman-weight class. Heck, I'd argue that he's over a Superman-weight class. This is a legit fight.

Elder Predator gets stomped by Samus? Oh man, where is Rakai in this time of need? This match is a stomp, just the other way around.

Freddy would probably tear up a regular martial artist/actor, but Chuck Norris? Do you know nothing about Norris? This is an even match.

Stomp against Samurai Jack?! Have you even seen his show Dragix? Samurai Jack is the man. He fights an insane amount of robots all the time, has a magical sword, and has battled wizards before. This is not a stomp for Harry.

Seriously? Just cause Ghostface has a knife, he wins? Heck, you can give me a sword, but Rocky would steal beat me like a drum. The knife means nothing. It means that Ghostface has a knife, that's it.

Superman vs Vegeta is a stomp? The Goku/Superman match is even, so why wouldn't this?
