Sitting here bored and a revalation struck me. One that has slipped past CBUBers fingertips! How did we drop the ball on this???? Or has this already been adressed and just unknown to me?
Eitherway I figured I'd better ask this question. My hope is to generate real debate about these two invincible classic toons!
Of course Roadrunner would be the greatest known (and maybe even the early favorite) but I recently saw a cartoon where the Mexican mouse hero, Speedy Gonzalez foiled the village cat bully quite handly!
Which gets my mind to wondering.......Does large ostrich-type birds prey on little spanish mice? Hmm? And if so how would one fair against the other..............?
So I pose to you, CBUB.........In a all out fight for survival who'd win against the worlds fastest bird, The imfamous Roadrunner! Or the Super quick hero Speedy Gonzalez!
Please explain your answer so that I can finally decide! Thx!

anyways I have to give it to RR, in terms of speed he wins it(he outruns rockets,arrows,etc. Speedy can outrun a cat, but hes nowhere near ftl or even sound). Craftiness is a bit of a tossup, though over RR has more formidible(and I use that term in the most loose way possible) opponent.
Funny fight though,especially in decided to do in team up form

Anyways, I'm going with Speedy. Yeepa!

Well, real roadrunner's natural prey are snakes, lizards, scorpions, other birds, many insects, and rodents so it's obvious that the Roadrunner would be the aggressor.
That said, Speedy Gonzoles would end up being the victor. In Loony Toon cartoons, the aggressor always looses. Tis' a fact of Loony Toon life.

I think Speedy wins. We've seen him as the prey, but to my recollection we've never seen RR as a predator. As such we can't really judge his predatory instinct except to say that he's probably inexperienced as a hunter.
