Without PIS, or Jim Starlin's biased writing on hand, Galactus takes this. Sure Thanos has prep-time, but he's got no uber-power ups, like the IG, or HOTU. He'll have technology, but against a fully powered Galactus, I'm not sure how much it would help.

Galactus squishes Odin like a fly, and then manges to separate Thanos from his tech. Galactus then kills Thanos...slowly.

And he still blasted him accross a planet.

Sure, Galactus came back, but....

When this is the end result, it means that Thanos didn't do much of anything other than get Galactus' attention.

Yeah.

That guy chuckling. Yeah, that's Thanos.

Context: Thanos had nothing to bargain with, yet somehow convinced Aegis & Tenebrous, two primordial gods, to take out Galactus (and let him live, since they were already planning to fight him). Being the bad@$$ that he is, Thanos made Galactus into a weapon.
