earlier today i got in a discussion with strangelhold about PIS we both agreed on not liking it but the point i wanted to get across is tht even if it is bad writing, the writers wrote it, so it still happened, therefore you cant disprove a feat (or whatever is in question) just bcuz u think its bad writing, but i want to hear ur thoughts on wht i said

It does not count due to being also non cannon. I do believe. Like the Flash getting stabbed by Deathstroke...did it happen any other time? No.

Not a good example but someone smarter will pick explain it better for me.

The term has no meaning. It's a pejorative throwaway coined by bitchy fanboys who think they own something because they've read or watched it. The best part of mainstream comics in the 90s was writers like Neil Gaiman, Gran Morrison, and Mark Waid coming along and making something out of a whole bevy of discarded comic history from the 30's-80's. Geoff Johns built a yearlong storyline on the idea. Today's House of Mysteries is tomorrows Sandman.

The point of calling something "canon" is so you can argue about pointless minutiae. As far as I'm concerned, anybody who does that is not a fan; they're an ass. Phrases like "PIS" only serve to perpetuate a culture of hipster snark, and none of you are very good at it. If you didn't like JMS's turn on Superman, don't read those issues. The only reason this thread exists is because you think feats are more important than the comics themselves. You're wrong. "Feats" have no value.

Your right, but not only that. Just look at what happened to Spider-man and Firelord, Firelord was herald level yet he got beat by Spider-man. In my opinion that shouldn't have never happened or Black Panther having Silver Surfer, who is suppose to be a cosmic being in a headlock.

Just point out what I think about PIS.

this thread exists bcuz i want to hear other ppls opinion on this matter personally i think PIS exists so ppll can defend a character by disproving wht someone else brought up in the arguement

that pretty much goes both ways.

yes, people don't seem to understand what Ivan is saying, but then again, Ivan doesn't seem to grasp the concept of what the others are talking about either.

Actually I do not know Latin at all.

I just found a Latin dictionary lying on the bookshelves in my house and I thought this would be interesting.

But this my real language that I speak at home(not english).

Yon ou vreman entelijan moun Ivan, men ou gen pou tande sa moun di.

When I speak in the language above, I have no problems with grammar.

Sorry I told you to conjugate, I didn't know you speak a pilloried vernacular Creole in which nobody bothers conjugating verbs in the first place...
