Our alleged bozo stopped at a thrift store called “Finders Keepers” and found a fire pit that he liked, so he took it home. And, he says, since the name of the place indicated he could “keep” it, he took it without paying. For now, the police have accepted his explanation, and, since he returned the item, no charges have been filed. No word on whether the owner is considering changing the name of the store.
