The Set-UP

And with a crack of lightning the world had changed. In order to save the multiverse from threats beyond the comprehension of mere mortals, the One Above All had merged everything under his control into one. The Deity had been rushed in his combining these dimensions so there would doubtlessly be growing pains for this new universe. There were thousands of worlds that now sustained life and beings that probably should have been together were no longer. This new existence was imperfect, but life has a way of pulling itself together and with the undivided attention of the One Above All, it would certainly happen here.

Here continues the tale of the one true universe...

-----------------------------------------------------------

Henry "Indiana" Jones had recently started a job at Harvard University. It had been quite the adjustment since the cataclysmic occurrence that rocked the world. Creatures had been appearing everywhere, some were oddly cute, while some were vicious and bloodthirsty. Luckily, these things were joined by beings of immense power that could fight them; the papers were calling them superheroes.

Jones had mixed feelings about these events. On one hand, he could finally rest knowing that he wouldn't have to go off into the jungle to find artifacts anymore. On the other hand, he felt almost useless; nobody can stand feeling like the world has passed them by. While he was supposed to be grading papers, he was daydreaming about the old days; it was then when a man approached him.

"Dr. Jones" said the man, "My name is General Thaddeus Ross and the United States government needs your help". Indiana took a moment to snap out his daze and process what he had just heard, but stood up immediately when he did.

Jones was shocked. "What would the government need me for?

"We need you to do what you do best Doctor Jones, find items that nobody else can find" replied the general.

"Doesn't the government have a meta-human team that they can use for things like this?" The General could hardly wait for Indy to finish his question before he cut him off.

"If I had my way, we'd wipe these so called heroes of the map, they're not to be trusted." The venom in Ross' voice was palpable. "In fact, that's one of the reasons we need you to find these items."

"What are they?" asked Indiana, suddenly feeling the rush that only an adventure could supply.

"They're called Dragon Balls" replied Ross as he handed pictures of the orange orbs over, "There are seven of them and when gathered they can be a very powerful weapon. These could be the things that tip the balance of power back to humanity, specifically the United States."

"What's the catch? There's always a catch." This situation was beginning to feel familiar to Indy.

"Actually, there are a few catches. Firstly, Victor Von Doom, dictator of Latveria, is also looking for the Dragon Balls. The threat that this man poses is beyond what you've ever imagined. Secondly, we've found where the balls are and every one is located in a dangerous place". General Ross handed over a Dragon Radar to Indy. "Now you know where they are too."

"When and where do I start?" asked the man who's blood was now pumping as hard as it ever had in the old days.

"We leave tonight for a No Man's Land that is in the location that was once known as the American west. There you will find a huge Labyrinth guarded by trolls and monsters. The ringleader of the creatures is known as the Goblin King. He spends most of his time tricking young girls into finding him and then throwing them in his harem. He's nothing you shouldn't be able to handle if you should encounter him. Doom shouldn't be an issue this time out, but do what you need to if you do see him. I'll provide transportation at Nineteen hundred hours at Logan airport."

General Ross walked away without even waiting for a reply. Indiana Jones was all too excited to have another adventure, he only hope that he could still crack his whip as well as he could in his younger days.

Thunderbolt Ross smirked as he walked the streets of Cambridge. This had gone as successfully as he could have imagined. He turned into an alleyway which hid him from anyone that could see him. His eyes glowed red as his true form revealed itself: Mephisto!!!

-----------------------------------------------------------

Can Indiana Jones find the 1 Star Dragon Ball in the Labyrinth? He won't encounter Doom or an Latverian agents (this time), but will encounter Jarreth. He has a pistol and his whip for weapons.

Will Mephisto be able to use Indiana Jones to gather the Dragon Balls?

....*claps* This is VERY well done. I wish I could give more than one "A", but alas, I cannot.

An "A" from Queen Jaretha!

OK...this will sound strange...but I'm voting for Jareth. I don't know. I have my reasons.

agustinaldo writes:

Jareth is supported by Jaretha.

Indina Jones is supported by George Lucas and Steven Spielberg.

I've seen pictures of the real-life Jaretha, and I'm pretty sure Lucas and Spielberg can handle her.
